Poland-Polish VAT advice for UK-based industrial oven and furnace manufacturer

The client is an expert in the use of forced convection technology.

Their engineered dryers, ovens, coolers, oxidisers and environmental solutions are used across a wide range of industries including paper, converting, metals and food. With over 160 employees the client designs, manufactures, commissions and installs equipment all over the world.

The client challenge

The UK-based industrial company, without subsidiaries domiciled in any EU member state, signed a contract with a Polish customer for installation and commissioning of the equipment on site in Poland. As such, they needed help in relation to EU tax obligations. The client’s UK advisor – Nexia Saffery – introduced the client to Polish member Nexia Advicero.

The solution

Due to the planned transactions in the territory of Poland, Nexia Advicero recommended registration for VAT purposes in Poland. Nexia Advicero assisted the client in registering in Poland and then helped the client with monthly VAT obligations.

Value

Nexia was able to support the client at every stage, from assessing their obligations to registering and carrying out ongoing VAT obligations. Working with global colleagues at Nexia member firms (Nexia Advicero and Nexia Saffery) enabled a smooth process of analysis and selection of the best solution for the client. This partnership demonstrated seamless teamwork, leveraging the diverse expertise within our network to deliver the most secure and efficient solutions for our client.
