Real estate and construction specialists from member firms; CohnReznick (United States), Nexia SAB&T (South Africa), Saffery (United Kingdom), Zeifmans (Canada) and Nexia Australia (Sydney, Australia) delivered a webinar on the challenges and opportunities in investing in real estate, construction, and development in their jurisdiction. Each expert spoke about:
- The opportunities and challenges that currently exist in their jurisdiction.
- What legislative, regulatory and taxation areas need to be considered when investing in United States, South Africa, United Kingdom, Canada and Australia.
- The different financial structures and timelines that exist in individual jurisdictions and how to prepare for these in advance.
- Any incentives that exist in individual countries to help clients and investors to operate more efficiently and increase their gains.
Each of the speakers delivered a short presentation on the above areas and then was part of a panel session answering questions on local and global trends taking place across the industry and how Nexia can help existing clients and investors.
