Nexia SAB&T from South Africa claimed the 'Communication Campaign of the Year' award, while SKP Business Consulting LLP from India was awarded with 'Advisory Project of the Year', and SKP Executive Director, Jigar Doshi won 'International Accounting Bulletin Young Accountant of the Year'.
The award ceremony, celebrating worldwide best practice in the accounting profession, was held in London on 3 October.
Nexia SAB&T was recognised for the launch of its successful campaign supporting empowerment of women in the workplace. This year 44 out of 69 individuals (64%) of individuals appointed by the firm were women. The campaign used digital marketing as well as traditional PR, reaching 65,413 people and has been featured in print magazines.
SKP Business Consulting LLP were acknowledged for working on an important project demonstrating the firm's expertise in project managing and advising on the post-merger integration of an established medical supplies and patient recovery business.
Jigar Doshi heads Indirect Tax at SKP Business Consulting. He was presented the award, which recognises entrepreneurial flair, technical excellence and leadership potential, because of the significant difference he has made at the firm. Jigar spearheaded SKP's approach on Goods and Services Tax (GST) during a transition phase in India enabling the firm to attract many national and international clients.
