Video competition launched as part of ‘Nexia Day’ celebrations

Nexia International, the ninth largest global network of independent accounting and consulting firms, is today celebrating Nexia Day.

Building on the success of last year’s inaugural Nexia Day, Nexia member firms explore the business benefits of Nexia’s values through the activities they deliver on the day.  

Nexia Day is designed to enable the Nexia network and its member firms to celebrate being part of the global network by organising business-focused activities that promote and further embed its brand promise ‘Closer to you’ and the three core values, which underpin it; ‘Enduring relationships’, ‘Business minded’ and ‘Being there for clients (Globally connected)’.

Each year, across the network, member firms focus on one of Nexia’s core values and highlight the business benefit of that value through the activities they organise. For 2019, Nexia Day takes place today, 25 July 2019.

This year, firms could choose to participate in the global competition initiative being led by Nexia. The initiative is focused on one of our brand values ‘Being there for clients (Globally connected)’.

The competition involves member firms across the network producing a short video introducing themselves to other Nexia members across the globe. Firms are required to demonstrate the culture/personality of their firm/offices and how they are there for their clients (globally connected) in an informal and fun way.

The firm that produces the best video and is the winner of the global competition will be announced during Nexia’s annual conference, taking place in Cape Town in October.

The global office is also holding a Strategy Day meeting to tie in with Nexia Day. The meeting will take place across the entire day and will consist of Nexia’s member firms coming together to shape the new strategy for the network.

The videos submitted by firms for the global competition will provide members with an opportunity to increase their understanding of each other and feel more globally connected.

This year, Nexia Day has the added significance of tying in with our strategy meeting. The meeting will provide our members with the opportunity to influence the future direction of the network and how we grow going forward.”
